Martin Scorsese is set to dabble with 3D technology with his latest project, the big-screen adaptation of children’s novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Variety reports that the legendary filmmaker will start shooting the film in London in June, ready for a Dec. 9, 2011 release date.
The trade reports that the story is set in 1930s Paris and centers on a 12-year-old orphan named Hugo, who lives in a train station and must finish what his late father started by solving the mystery of a broken robot.
