Despite The Hollywood News' recent morphing into the showbiz bohemoth that it has become, we still sometimes like to report movie news... No really. So here's Sunday's big news. The film that literally everyone is talking about everywhere that you go at the moment is ZOMBIELAND, a zom-com road trip flick that stars Woody Harrelson. The film has managed to top the box-office in North America, netting more than it's actual budget in just three days. $25 million. That's domestically folks, and that does not even include any international wedge. It did noticeably better that the really poorly reviewed Ricky Gervais movie THE INVENTION OF LYING, which landed at the number four spot with just $7.3 in big green. Nice to see TOY STORY and its sequel back. The double-header 3D flick(s) managed a number three ith $12.5, just behind that other animated movie CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, which continues to do well.
