Don Payne returns for Thor sequel

Don Payne is apparently on board for screenwriting duties on the planned THOR sequel. According to Deadline, Payne will return to the franchise although director Kenneth Brannagh will not.

THOR – which starred Chris Hemsworth as the titular Norse God – was the surprise runaway hit of this blockbuster season, and expectations will undoubtedly be high for the sequel. The movie is scheduled for release in 2013, and will follow 2012′s highly-anticipated AVENGERS movie.

Payne’s other writing credits include FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER (ahem) and THE SIMPSONS (better).
